The Kings of Bharat

About this collection

Portrait posters of the kings and rulers of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, Samrat Chandragupta Maurya (सम्राट चन्द्रगुप्त मौर्य) and Prithviraj Chauhan, alongside Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the epic kings — Shri Ram as King of Ayodhya and Shri Krishna as King of Mathura. Many designs carry a Marathi, Hindi or Sanskrit line, such as “क्षत्रियकुलावतंस”, “स्वराज्यरक्षक” or “वीर भोग्या वसुन्धरा”.

Formats and sizes

Single posters come in Standard or Canvas print, in 9 × 12 inch (0.9 × 1 ft), 12 × 18 inch (1 × 1.5 ft), 18 × 26 inch (1.5 × 2.2 ft), 24 × 36 inch (2 × 3 ft) and 36 × 54 inch (3 × 4.5 ft). Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap are also made as framed art in Wall Frames, in Minimal Black or Royal Golden.

Choosing and hanging

A single king’s portrait in 24 × 36 inch (2 × 3 ft) makes a strong centrepiece for a living room, office cabin or reception wall. Smaller sizes such as 12 × 18 inch (1 × 1.5 ft) suit a study desk or bookshelf wall. More warriors, including heroes from the epics, are in Kshatriya.
