Ram

About this collection

Prabhu Shri Ram (श्रीराम) and the Ramayan — posters of Maryada Purushottam Ram, the King of Ayodhya (अयोध्याधीश), Ram and Sita during the vanvas, and Ram facing Ravan. Some designs show Ram as a warrior (“अहमस्मि योधः”); others are calm portraits with Sanskrit titles such as “श्रीरामचंद्र” and “मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम”.

Formats and sizes

Single posters come in Standard or Canvas print, in 9 × 12 inch (0.9 × 1 ft), 12 × 18 inch (1 × 1.5 ft), 18 × 26 inch (1.5 × 2.2 ft), 24 × 36 inch (2 × 3 ft) and 36 × 54 inch (3 × 4.5 ft). There is also a Maryada Purushottam three-panel split poster, available as a plain poster or on three wooden panels — see Split Posters for more three-panel designs. Ram designs are also made as framed art in Wall Frames.

Choosing and hanging

Ram-Sita and Ayodhya designs suit a living room or pooja corner. Warrior designs such as “अहमस्मि योधः” or Ram vs Ravan suit a study or office wall. For a sacred image, many families follow Vastu guidance favouring the north-east, north or east — customs differ, so follow your own family’s practice.
