Shiva

About this collection

Lord Shiva — Mahadev, Bholenath, Mahakal (महादेव) — in wall posters made for homes, study rooms and offices. The designs range from calm to fierce: Shiv and Parvati together, Shiva with Nandi, Mahakal of Ujjain, and a Shiv Tandav design carrying the first verse of the Shiva Tandava Stotram (चकार चण्डताण्डवं). Others carry the Mahamrityunjaya mantra (ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे).

The collection also has temple posters — Kedarnath, Kashi Vishwanath, Somnath, Ujjain Mahakaleshwar and Rameshwaram — and a 12 Jyotirlingas combo with all twelve temples.

Formats and sizes

Single posters come in Standard or Canvas print, in 9 × 12 inch (0.9 × 1 ft), 12 × 18 inch (1 × 1.5 ft), 18 × 26 inch (1.5 × 2.2 ft), 24 × 36 inch (2 × 3 ft) and 36 × 54 inch (3 × 4.5 ft). Three-panel split posters are also here, as plain posters or on three wooden panels. For more Shiva designs as frames, see Wall Frames; for the three-panel designs, see Split Posters.

Choosing and hanging

A calm design (Shiv-Parvati, Kailash) suits a living room or pooja corner; a fierce design (Tandav, Mahakal) works well on a study or gym wall. Many families follow Vastu guidance that prefers the north-east, north or east for a sacred image — traditions differ, so follow what your family does.
